Antrim and Newtownabbey planning £50k Northern Ireland centenary celebrations

A budget of £50,000 has been allocated for Northern Ireland centenary celebrations by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council next year.

The sum was approved by the council’s Community Planning Committee at a meeting on Monday evening for inclusion in its arts and culture estimates for 2021/22.

The centenary falls on May 3, 2021.  The local authority has formed a Northern Ireland Centenary Working Group to take plans forward.
