A BALLYDUFF artist has been making faces and turning heads on the local art scene.
Ian Wilgaus has just completed his latest exhibition in the Roost bar in Belfast as part of a series of shows organised through the Bradley Art Gallery which promotes talent from across Northern Ireland.
Ian describes himself as a figurative and portrait artist, taking inspiration from contemporary names like Banksy and Copyright as well as the more traditional masters and impressionists such as Cezanne, Rubens and Rembrandt.
The 27-year-old’s portfolio comprises everything from incredible almost picture-like sketches to complex canvas paintings using liquid latex.
Incredibly, Ian has had no formal training and is entirely self-taught.
