Trees are being lit, lists are being posted to Santa and nights out are being planned as Christmas fast approaches. And audiences will be spoilt for choice at Theatre at The Mill and The Courtyard Theatre in Newtownabbey this holiday season.
The festivities start this weekend with the Christmas Craft Fair taking place at The Courtyard Theatre, Ballyearl. There will be more than 30 local craft stalls including children’s toys, jewellery and textiles, along with a face painter and balloon artist to keep the children occupied. Track down those unique Christmas gifts this Saturday (November 19), 10am - 4pm. Entry costs £1.50.
Theatre at The Mill is thrilled to welcome back Peter Corry with his Christmas extravaganza The Music Box featuring the Ulster Operatic Company. Get into the festive spirit and rediscover the wonder of Christmas past and present with this spectacular of music, song and dance. The show, running from Wednesday 7 to Saturday 17 December at 7.45pm, celebrates all that people love about the Christmas season and is perfect for all ages. There will be Saturday matinees on 10 and 17 December. Availability is limited on all performances, and tickets priced from £11 - £24 are selling fast.
Experience sparkling Christmas comedy from Nuala McKeever with her brand new play Carol’s Christmas. Perfect for those looking for an alternative night out with friends and family over the festive season, with lots of laughs and a little sprinkling of magic from Norman the genie. Carol’s Christmas opens on Tuesday, December 20 and runs until Saturday, December 31, including Boxing Night and a gala performance with After Show Party on New Year’s Eve. Tickets priced £14 - £22.
