Officers and staff at the Glengormley Ambulance and Rescue Unit were overwhelmed by the donations made to the group in March 1988.
The generous response from local people helped to raise £982.34.
Don Kirk from the unit said: “We wish there was some really special way of showing our appreciation to the people who gave so much.
“I can hardly believe that we raised this magnificent sum from the people of Glengormley, especially when you consider how many other commitments everybody has today. We’d just like to thank the people and let them know that their money will be ploughed into what is a project, second to none, serving their community.”
