A NEWTOWNABBEY born actress is taking to the road in the smash-hit comedy play, Cooking With Elvis.
Nuala McGowan, who is originally from Glengormley, stars in the new show, which is making its way to theatres across the country to heat up the cold autumn evenings.
Nuala, who now lives in London where she studied at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, plays the role of Jill in the outrageous comic farce.
“Jill is a teenage girl who is quick-witted and very astute which can sometimes work against her. She is loveable but has an unpredictable side to her which you will see in the play. She is really fun to portray and I’m having a great time acting like a ‘stroppy’ teenager again,” she said.
The play is being brought to the stage by Belfast’s leading physical theatre company, Bruiser, and promises a compelling, frantic and funny night’s entertainment in true Bruiser style.
The show opens at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast for three nights from September 22 before embarking on a 15-venue tour of theatres throughout Ireland, including Newtownabbey’s Theatre at The Mill on Thursday, September 29.
Tickets for the show at Theatre at The Mill, which is suitable for over 18s only, are available from the box office on 9034 0202.
