Action for Children run four Family Support Hubs across Larne/Carrickfergus, Newtownabbey, Magherafelt/Cookstown, Coleraine/Moyle & Ballymena/Antrim and surrounding areas. They act as an early intervention sign-posting service to support families who may be experiencing difficulties, find all the services that they may find useful, including those who could offer practical and emotional support.

Claire Larkin, Service Coordinator for Family Support Hubs said: “A lot of our referrals come from GPs, and due to the Coronovirus outbreak, parents are telling us that access to GP surgeries is limited. Therefore, we want to ensure families are aware of what support is available and how to access this support. The great news is that you don’t need to wait for a GP appointment to be referred to us – we take self-referrals. So, you can email or call us directly to access one-to-one support and advice.”

The sign-posting service is your go-to for help, advice and active support in your area if you’re finding things difficult right now. Whether you need financial help, mental health guidance, counselling services, support through abuse or you’re just looking for youth activities in your area, Action for Children’s Family Support Hubs can help.
