Three Newtownabbey groups have received a total of £29,695 from the Big Lottery Fund’s Awards for All scheme.
Ballyclare’s War Years Remembered group, which brings the war years alive through its interactive mobile museum, will get a £10,000 grant to provide workshops and lessons for children at various schools and for older people in supported housing, folds and nursing homes.
Also benefitting is the Grange Youth and Community Group, which delivers social, educational and recreational activities and workshops for residents in the Grange area of Ballyclare.
