A TEAM from Glengormley Presbyterian Church will be jetting off to Africa in April to help build a village school in Kenya.
The volunteers will be offering a helping hand to the people of Joska, just outside Nairobi.
Team members are currently trying to secure sponsorship their trip, and will be holding a series of fundraising events over the coming weeks.
A car wash will be held at the Antrim Road church this Saturday (February 4) between 10am and 12 noon, with a table quiz being organised for February 17 and a further car wash and coffee morning on March 10.
Several members of the church’s Kenyan mission team will also be taking part in the Run-a-Muck challenge in Dublin on March 3 in a bid to raise more cash for the new school project.
