Police arrested a drink driver in Newtownabbey during the Saturday night shift.

Detailing the incident on November 29, a PSNI spokesperson said: “The drink driver was discovered slumped over the steering wheel in Newtownabbey. They could have caused so much destruction.

“You will notice an increase over the coming weeks in police road side breath tests. There will also be a high profile media campaign regarding this. Don’t ruin your Christmas.”
