Man and young boy hospitalised after Ballyclare collision

A young boy and a man in his 50s were taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on the Collin Road in Ballyclare yesterday (Tuesday).

Police have launched an appeal for information following the two-vehicle collision.#

Inspector McKenna said: “Shortly before 3.30pm, it was reported that a Volkswagen Beetle car and a Nissan Primastar were involved in the incident.

“A young boy and a man in his 50s were both taken to hospital for their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

“A man arrested in relation to this incident was released on bail pending further enquiries following the incident.

“Enquiries are continuing and police would appeal to anyone with any information to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1109 17/11/20.
