Man due in court after Newtownabbey armed robbery

Detectives investigating an armed robbery in the Fairview Road area of Newtownabbey on Tuesday (May 18) have charged a 24-year-old man with possession of class A, B and C drugs and possession with intent to supply class A, B and C drugs.

He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday). As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the PPS.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The man was released on bail in relation to robbery and associated offences as police enquiries continue.”
