Witnesses sought after female assaulted in Newtownabbey

Police are appealing for information following an assault which took place in the vicinity of Church Road in Newtownabbey this morning (Thursday).

In a statement issued to the Times, a PSNI spokesperson said: “A report was received at approximately 8.30am that a female was assaulted.

“Enquiries are continuing, and police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed any suspicious activity, or has any dash-cam footage, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 302 of 13/05/21.

“Information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, which is 100 per cent anonymous.”

Police are appealing for information.
