New Mossley Presbyterian Youth Group members have been making their theatrical debut at Theatre at The Mill, Mossley Mill, this week.

Their ‘Josph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ show features, amongst others, the fantastic voices of local talents, Glen Shields and Samuel Moore.

Curtains rose on the production last night (Wednesday, April 4) and the show can also be enjoyed at the theatre this evening, (April 5) at 7.45pm.

Ever since new Mossley Presbyterian Church opened its doors in 1980, the youth group has been an essential part of its work. The cast of this show, primarily young people from the New Mossley estate, have shown great commitment and dedication to the project since rehearsals began in September 2011.

Through this life-enriching drama project, the young people of New Mossley will not only be helping themselves towards a better life, but they will also be supporting their congregation’s Uganda 2012 Project.

In July, the church plan to take a team of 14 young people from New Mossley to work with Ugandan street children at two centres in Kampala and Kampringisa.
