Dog attack court case withdrawn

A dog involved in an alleged attack on a woman and her dog at Burney’s Lane park, Glengormley on September 5 last year has been put down.

The case, which was investigated by the council’s dog warden, was due to have gone to court last month.

However, councillors attending this month’s Environment Committee meeting were informed that the case was withdrawn after “the alleged aggressor dog was humanely destroyed because of an illness.”
