A MASSIVE £180,000 drugs seizure has been hailed by police as a ‘hugely significant’ blow to the local illegal drugs trade.

During a routine stop of a car on the Hillhead Road near Ballyclare on Thursday (April 9), police discovered drugs stored in carrier bags hidden underneath the driver and passenger seats.

During follow up searches of three homes in the Monkstown estate, officers uncovered more drugs along with a sum of cash.
