The local authority confirmed that Environmental Health Officers had received a "small number of complaints relating to blasting at Boyd's Quarry" on Tuesday, May 19.

"Officers contacted the contractor that carries out vibration monitoring for this facility, and were advised that the impact of these blasts were what they would have expected, and well within the relevant planning limits," a council spokesperson said.
