ACTION Cancer has launched Titanic Challenge, offering companies workshops and new perspectives to develop project management, finance and marketing skills.
The charity is setting the business sector a challenge - how will you develop an enterprising idea into funds for Northern Ireland’s leading local cancer charity?
Kerry Anderson, Corporate Fundraising Officer, explained: “The idea is each company pitches their idea to a ‘Dragon’s Den’ panel of business experts and Action Cancer management. Once approved, the company will receive a £1,000 investment grant to start their enterprise. Throughout the process companies will have access to business sector experts including marketing, finance and project management, as well as networking and training opportunities. What’s more, the project offers great potential for companies to set themselves apart and generate mutually beneficial PR and brand awareness.”
Participating companies will compete for a top prize at a finale event to be held early next year.
Action Cancer provides life-saving prevention, detection and support services in Northern Ireland and is the only charity in Northern Ireland to provide breast screening for women outside of the NHS age range.
