Pupils of Glengormley Integrated Primary School have been given a big pat on the back for their top class charity fundraising efforts.
Action MS schools project officer Sarah Duff called at the school for a special awards presentation to thank the pupils for their efforts on their recent Walk for MS.
A group of 340 pupils joined the Walk for MS team at Belfast Castle on Friday, March 27.
The pupils have raised a total of £4,695.06 in aid of Action MS, Northern Ireland’s Multiple Sclerosis Charity.
Northern Ireland has the second highest rate of multiple sclerosis in the world, second only to Scotland.
Action MS works all across Northern Ireland to support people living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers.
In thanking the pupils Sarah said: “Thanks to the generosity, dedication and support of schools Glengormley Integrated Primary School, the Walks for MS are at the core of Action MS fundraising.
“Action MS supports people living with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers in Northern Ireland.
“Glengormley Integrated Primary School really enjoyed their morning’s walk and we are very grateful for their generous support.”
Sarah added: “The Walks for MS first started over 30 years ago and have directly helped Action MS develop its support from a listening ear service to include support for children and families living with multiple sclerosis, support for young people, free legal advice and Digital Inclusion.”
