Man (62) injured in violent attack

Police officers investigating an assault in Glengormley last week say they are “following a specific line of enquiry.”

At around 10.30am on Friday, January 17, police received a report that two unknown males had entered a residential property in the Coolehill Crescent area and assaulted the 62-year-old male homeowner.

“The man sustained a facial injury which is not thought to be life threatening at this time,” a PSNI spokesperson said.

Investigating officers can be contacted at Newtownabbey Station on 0845 600 8000.
