Man remanded in custody

A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with theft following an incident at a convenience store in Glengormley on Saturday, July 7.

Stephen Desmond Brown, from Susan Street in Belfast, appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court on Monday (July 9) charged with stealing a £5 scratchcard from the Mace shop on Glebe Road West. He was also charged with attempting to rob a woman of an unknown amount of cash on the same date.

Brown was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again via video link on Monday, August 6.
