‘Man threatens to cut teenage boy’s throat’

POLICE have launched an investigation after a man allegedly threatened to slit a teenage boy’s throat during an incident near Glengormley last weekend.

Shortly after 9pm on Sunday, April 8, the 14-year-old boy was standing at a bus shelter on the Ballyclare Road with a 15-year-old girl when they were approached by an older male and female.

The older male is reported to have been aggressive and threatened to slit the teenage boy’s throat. He and the female then walked off in the direction of Corr’s Corner.

Although the man didn’t actually produce a knife, the teenagers were left shaken by the incident.

The older pair are both described as being aged in their mid 20s. The man was wearing a blue tracksuit and was walking a dog, possibly a Husky or Alsatian. The female had a piercing in her lower lip.

Investigating officers have appealed for anyone with information, or who witnessed the incident, to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
