MOTORISTS are being advised of possible traffic disruption in the Mossley area next week.
Carnmoney Road North, between The Glade and Campbell Road, will be closed to through traffic from 8am on Monday, December 13 until 6pm on Saturday, December 18 for resurfacing and the installation of traffic calming measures.
"Local access will be maintained at all times. We will endeavour to minimise the impact of the works on local traffic but delays should be expected," a Roads Service spokesperson said.
South Antrim MP William McCrea and Paul Girvan MLA, who lobbied Roads Service for the scheme, both welcomed the start of work on the traffic calming project, describing it as a significant move towards improving road safety in the area.
