NEWTOWNABBEY Citizens Advice Bureau has received the highest score possible in the National CAB Quality of Advice Audit.
The three-yearly assessment reveals that staff at the CAB’s Dunanney Centre office are providing advice of the highest quality to clients.
The independent audit, commissioned by Citizens Advice NI, rates the quality of front line advice given to the people of Newtownabbey as 100 per cent score - the highest mark achieved by any Bureau in the UK.
Pat Hutchinson MBE, Manager of Newtownabbey CAB, commented: “A 100 per cent score is incredibly rare. In fact I don’t actually know of any other Bureau which has ever achieved it. This is a real vote of confidence in the Bureau and I’m delighted with the result. It shows that clients can be sure that they will get the best quality of advice from Newtownabbey CAB.”
She continued: “I’d like to thank all the staff and volunteers in the Bureau for their hard work which made this result possible. I would also like to thank our core funder, Newtownabbey Borough Council; without their support there would not be a Bureau in Newtownabbey.”
Each Citizens Advice Bureau has to undergo a rigorous audit every three years to ensure it can remain a member of the national Citizens Advice Association and that it can retain the highest ‘Quality Mark’.
Billy Snoddy, Chairman of Newtownabbey CAB added: “I am very proud of the staff who have worked to achieve this outstanding result which proves great value for money to all our funders as well as exceptional quality of advice to the people of Newtownabbey.
“We are an ever growing, dynamic and evolving organisation committed to providing advice that makes a difference to peoples’ lives.”
