The campaign, which is being supported by the Police, the Public Health Agency and Crimestoppers, will be launched on February 24.

The initiative’s three-pronged approach will include enforcement targeting drug dealers, education about the dangers of drug use and advertising to highlight the problems associated with illegal and prescription drugs.

The PCSP also intends to implement a RAPID (Remove All Prescription and Illegal Drugs) scheme, encouraging the anonymous deposit of drugs in safe bins located around the borough.
