Commenting on the development, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Ald John Smyth said; “I am pleased that we have been able to re-open our caravan parks.

“Close to ferry ports and major arterial routes, our caravan parks are ideal for exploring not only the borough of Antrim and Newtownabbey, but all of Northern Ireland.

“Tourism is an important sector for our local economy and along with the reopening of the slipways we look forward to welcoming these visitors back to our borough this summer.”
