Managers and employees across Poundland’s east Antrim stores will be getting rid of their lockdown locks this week when they go bald to raise money for Age NI.

Staff at the Ballyclare, Larne, Carrickfergus and Newtownabbey branches will get their hair shaved on Friday, May 29.

Commenting on the kindhearted effort, Poundland area manager Liam Igoe said: “Like everyone else, our colleagues have developed some interesting hair styles during lockdown. Rather than just complain about having a bad hair day, they’ve decided to do something about it and shave it all off to raise money for a great cause.”
