£150k investment for Newtownabbey football pitches

All football pitches at the V36 facility in Newtownabbey have now been resurfaced thanks to further investment of £150,000.

During the official opening of the MORE pitches, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey Cllr Jim Montgomery commented: “This is a great addition to the sporting provision we have in the borough.

“These pitches have been really well used by our customers over the past 12 years and I am delighted to see that all the refurbishment work has been completed and they are now open for use.

“Football is a great team sport and now that the restrictions are easing, I would encourage footballers to make use of these top-class leisure facilities that are right on your doorstep.”
