Police investigate '˜suspicious activity' on bus

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about suspicious activity involving a male and female that occurred on a bus yesterday (Tuesday).

The Times understands the incident occurred on a bus which was travelling from Upper Queen Street in Belfast to Carnmoney Road between 6pm and 7pm.

Detective Sergeant Olphert said: “We are conducting enquiries and are requesting the public’s assistance to help determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. In particular, we are appealing for information about the young male and female who got off the bus on the Carnmoney Road around 6:30pm.

“Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact detectives at Antrim police station on 101 quoting 1180 and date of incident August 30. If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
