Take part in Ballyduff spring clean

BALLYDUFF residents are being urged to turn out in numbers this Saturday (March 3) to help with a major clean-up of the estate.

Local councillors, council staff and community representatives will also be taking part in the spring clean.

“Council staff and road sweepers will be in the area from 8am and facilities will be available for residents to dispose of any heavy/bulky waste.

“The council will supply litter pickers, bags and high visibility vests to volunteers and I would urge residents, young and old, and anyone who has an interest in the area to join us for the community clean-up to publicly show the pride local people have in their area,” said DUP councillor Robert Hill.

All residents interested in taking part in the clean-up are being asked to meet at the shops on Fairview Road at 10am.

Information leaflets about the clean-up were due to be distributed in the area this week.
