Music lovers are in for a treat as The Priests are set to launch their fourth album in Belfast tomorrow.
The group, made up of the Very Reverend Eugene O’Hagan, Martin O’Hagan and David Delargy will be appearing at HMV, Castle Place, at noon tomorrow as their highly-anticipated album, Alleluia is released.
The trio will be performing three tracks from their latest studio album; You Raise Me Up, Lord Of The Dance and Morning Has Broken.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Fr Eugene O’Hagan said: “We are excited to be releasing our fourth album. It is a mix of classical and religious music, as well as some new stuff.
“This is our first album since 2010. It includes a number of tracks which have been tested at concerts, as well as some new material.”
Fr Eugene, priest at Sacred Heart Church in Ballyclare added: “Since it was announced that the new album was going to be released, we have received a lot of very encouraging feedback. There has been good interest from people on Facebook and Twitter.
“The parishioners have been great. Everybody in the community knows us very well and they’ve been delighted to share in our success. They have enjoyed it and it’s been good fun. I think they are quietly proud that we’ve shown our community in a good light. We’re from small parishes and we’re pleased and proud that we’ve done something that has shot a spotlight on our community. After all the bad news we hear, it’s great to have something to celebrate.”
