A RE-IMAGING project in Ballyduff which was put on hold two years ago after loyalist paramilitaries refused to sanction the removal of murals must now go ahead.

That was the call made this week by local UUP councillor and community worker John Scott, who also hit out at those who deliberately stalled the £26,000 scheme.

Speaking during a meeting of the council’s Development Committee, he commented: “The residents of Ballyduff and this council approved re-imaging in the estate three years ago and then at the last minute certain people, including one councillor, told us we couldn’t change the murals.”
