Delays expected during Ballyclare Firmus Energy works

Motorists are advised that a section of the Ballyeaston Road in Ballyclare is closed for Firmus Energy gas works.

The lane closure, which commenced this morning (Tuesday), is operating from 20m left-hand side of 80 Ballycorr Road to 20m right-hand side of 80 Ballyeaston Road.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily for the connection of new Firmus Energy gas mains.”

The work is being carried out by a Firmus Energy contractor.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of five to 15 minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 4.30pm on Wednesday, June 9.
