Motorists urged to comply with speed restriction after oil spill reported on M2

Road users are being asked to abide by a 50mph speed restriction due to an oil spillage on the M2 northbound.

Detailing the incident, a Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “There is an oil spillage M2 northbound between Junction 4 Sandyknowes and M22 Junction 1 Dunsilly. A 50mph speed restriction is in place.

“Road users should comply with the speed restriction until the spillage is investigated and treated.”
