Section of Ballyclare road closed for BT repair works

Motorists are advised that a section of the Braepark Road in Ballyclare is closed for works.

The road closure, which commenced at 8am today (Monday), is operating from Braepark Road to the Collin Road junction.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily for BT carrier pole repair works.

“An alternative route is Collin Road - Sawmill Road - Ballynashee Road.”

The work is being carried out by BT.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 4pm on November 9.

Meanwhile, a lane closure is operating on O’Neill Road in Newtownabbey from Doagh Road to Prince Charles Way.

A DfI spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily for footway resurfacing works.

Traffic lights will be operation.”

The work is being conducted by DfI Roads contractors.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 6pm on Friday, November 13.
