Section of M5 to be closed for works

The carriageway will be closed overnight.

The closure is requried for carriageway repairs.

The carriageway will be closed from 11pm tonight (Tuesday) until 6am on Wednesday, May 27.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson suggested an alternate route of M2 northbound Junction 2 off-slip, Shore Road, Rush Park Roundabout.

The work is being conducted by DfI roads contractors.

Motorists are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

Meanwhile, lanes one and two of the M2 motorway southbound will be closed for repairs tonight.

The closure will operate from Junction 4 Sandyknowes to Junction 2 Greencastle.

The lanes will be closed from 11pm tonight until 6am tomorrow.

The work is being carried out by DfI roads contractors.
