Valley tournament part of church’s 2020 weekend

Carnmoney Presbyterian Church is kicking off its 2020 weekend with a five-a-side football tournament in the Valley Leisure Centre on Saturday, June 8 from 9.15am.

The competition will involve 24 teams of seven who will each play a minimum of six games.

Spaces have all been allocated, however, there will be a fun day for all the family and a barbecue after the event.

On Sunday the church will host former Premier League footballer Linvoy Primus.

The former Portsmouth defender will be talking about his football career, as well as sharing his faith journey.

Linvoy will be recounting stories of playing against the likes of Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer, while also sharing how his faith in God changed his perspective on the beautiful game and on his life.

Also on Sunday the Church will be hosting a number of fun activities in its car park including Powerplay NI Speedshot, cage football, shot accuracy, a keepy up competition and other fun-filled games.

All the fun starts at 5.30pm.
