BBC's The Big Family Cooking Showdown is looking for families to take part

Is your mum's home cooking simply irresistible? Does dad fancy himself as the next Gordon Ramsay? Are gran's secret recipes the stuff of local legend?

If you are part of a family of would-be masterchefs, then listen up - The Big Family Cooking Showdown is on the hunt for teams to compete in the new series of the popular BBC Two cookery show.

“We are making a new series of the well-loved show for BBC2, and we are looking for new families who may be interested in taking part," says Frankie Mensah from Voltage TV, who produce the series.

"We’re looking for teams of three from the same family - this can be any combination (aunt, sister, mum, husband, father-in-law) and they don’t all have to live in the same house.

"If you know someone who’s a big character and is passionate about their home-cooked food, then get in touch now."

The Big Family Cooking Showdown aired for the first time last year and was hosted by Great British Bake Off winner Nadia Hussain and radio DJ and TV presenter Zoe Ball.
