Both goals came in the first half. Luke Taylor opened the scoring for England with just eight minutes on the clock, before Lee Cole levelled matters for Ireland.

Ireland take on World Cup junior champions Germany today (5 pm). In their last outing, the Germans swept Scotland aside with a 4-0 win.
