All the County Antrim Harriers (CAH) athlete’s recent triathlon training paid off as she recorded an excellent 43:03 on a hilly course - well clear of the next runner.

Lyn Hardie also had an excellent run, coming home in eighth place in 53:34, closely followed by Jane Kinnear in 57:05 in her first 10k race, and Christine Neeson in 1:01:02.

In the 5k event Katherine McAllister led CAH home in 32:17 with Eileen Stewart in 34:10. Fran Wright, running her first race after injury, was thrilled with her time of 34:34.

Three Harriers members headed for Limavady on Thursday evening for the Round the Bridges 10-mile race organised by Springwell Runners. Paula McMaster was first home for CAH in 1:30:22, an excellent achievement on her first 10-miler.

Carol Annesley was close behind in 1:30:44 and congratulations to Joanne Hughes who put in a stirling performance in her first-ever race to clock 1:41:30.

Naomi Lusty was the lone representative for the club at the Ards Half-Marathon on Friday night. This is a notoriously hilly course and Naomi had a fantastic run for her first-ever half-marathon to finish in 1:56:02.
