Downey is first home for Harriers at Greyabbey

A small team from County Antrim Harriers headed for Greyabbey for the annual 10k racethis week.

The rain stayed away and conditions were ideal for this two-lap undulating course.

Irene Downey was first home for the Ballyclare-based club in 49.39 and was delighted to pick up the first Female Vet in her age category.

Naomi Lusty crossed the line in 49.51 - an excellent run, especially after her endeavours at the Ards Half Marathon only a week previous.

Carol Annesley ran 52.15, followed by a happy Marion Morrow who registered a personal best time of 57.52.

Eileen Stewart continued her winning ways to be awarded first Female Vet in her age category in a pb time of 65.56.

Meanwhile, At Antrim’s parkrun, Helen Baird produced a pb of 24.56 - reward for her interval training.
