Northern Ireland defender Craig Cathcart has signed a two-year deal with Championship side Watford.
The ex-Manchester United centre-back was out-of-contract after four seasons with Blackpool.
“As soon as I spoke to the guys here, it was clear they wanted to get promoted,” he told www.watfordfc.com. “I want to be part of something that’s going to grow, and hopefully be in the Premier League.”
The 25-year-old, who has made 15 appearances for his country since his debut in 2010, had spells with Carnmoney Colts and Greenisland Boys as a youth.
The former Glengormley High School pupil moved to Old Trafford as a teenager and had loan spells with Royal Antwerp, Plymouth Argyle and his new club, Watford.
