A solitary goal from Andrew Simpson saw Ballyclare Comrades bag a precious 1-0 win over PSNI at Dixon Park.

Simpson’s header arrived as early as the third minute and David Dorrian’s men held on to claim all three points. The former Nortel midfielder nodded in Andrew Doyle’s free-kick.

The victory lifted the Reds five points clear of Jamesy Kirk’s side and in to 10th spot in Championship 1.
