More than 100 past pupils and friends of Ballyclare High School took part in the Old Ballyclarians’ Association’s Sports Night at The Cloughan and High School playing fields on Friday evening (May 20), as part of the May Fair celebrations.
The wet weather meant the T20 cricket match had to be cancelled, but the other sports, including hockey, football and touch rugby went ahead as planned.
Despite their own game being called off, the cricketers decided to get together and enter a team in the touch rugby competition. And they proved their sporting prowess by taking second place.
Organiser Simon Thompson thanked all those who helped make the fundraiser.
