Recognise anyone? On the dance floor in Ballyclare circa 1959

The picture is thought to have been taken at a dance in Ballyclare Town Hall around 1959 and includes members of Ballylinney Young Farmers’ Club.

Ken (pictured front row, second from left) recalls that some of those present were: Billy Wilson, Euan Hall, Eddie Simms, Noel Simms, Clara Hill, Georgina Millar, Eileen Ross, Elsie McDowell, Thomasina Mairs, Naomi Hill, Edith Beatty, Mary Cross, Leslie Ross and Adell Millar.

Responding to Ken’s appeal for help putting names to faces, Ballyclare woman Adell Millar contacted the Times saying that, as she recalls, those pictured are: Back row - Billy Wilson, Euan Hall, Jamesy Bryson, Eddie Simms, Noel Simms, Jeannie Wilson; Middle row - Clara Hill, Anette Kirk, Georgina Millar, Naomi Beggs, Carol Beattie, Eileen Ross, Reena Bingham, Phyllis Boyd; Between middle and front rows - Thomasina Mairs, Elsie McDowell; Front row - Naomi Hill, Ken Coleman, Edith Beattie, Mary Cross, Leslie Ross, Adell Millar.
