Mossley 1st XI lost 6-1 to a goal-hungry Cookstown side in a Premier League clash on Friday.
Two quick strikes from the visitors put the Glademen on the back foot on their home turf. However, the home crowd’s expectations were lifted when Neal Glassey rattled in a from a penalty corner to make it 2-1.
But that was to be as good as it got for Mossley with the mid-Ulster outfit netting a third before the break and ramming home three more without reply in the second session.
The home side weren’t without opportunities of their own, however, and Aaron Boyd and Joel Cathcart both went close.
Elsewhere, the 2nd XI lost 2-1 to Kilkeel, with Mark Moreland finding the net.
The 3rd XI claimed a hard-fought three points with a 2-1 win over South Antrim thanks to an Ian Creighton brace. The 4th XI drew 2-2 at Annadale, while the 5th XI won 3-0 at Saintfield in their Cup clash.
Goals from Tori Wallace (two), Sophie McDowell, Nicola McMillan and Anna Glassey ensured a 5-3 win over Kilkeel for the 1st XI.
The Thirds lost 2-0 to Queen’s IV and strikes from Victoria Greer and Emma Downey helped the Fourths to a 3-0 win over their Ballymena counterparts.
