OPHIR RFC in Mallusk and St Enda’s GAC in Glengormley have joined forces to put on a Family Day and Fun Run this Sunday, April 22.

The fun will get under way at The Cottonmount, Mallusk Road at 1.30pm. The range of free activities will include a petting zoo, face painters, an inflatable assault course, a rugby spin pass challenge, an arts and crafts workshop and much more.

At around 3pm there will be a Fun Run from The Cottonmount to St Enda’s on the Hightown Road. The run is being organised and marshalled by North Belfast Harriers and anyone wanting to take part must pay a registration fee of £5.

The fun will continue at St Enda’s with more family-friendly events such as a barbecue, a family disco and a few other surprises before the activities wind down at around 5pm.

The cross-community initiative is being supported by the Rural Development Council and the International Fund for Ireland.

Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun.
