Children’s artwork on display at Stormont

Unique artwork designed by children at Jordanstown School for the upcoming World Police and Fire Games (WPFG) has gone on display in Stormont.

The children put together posters of the game’s mascot Emergency Eddie and this week Culture Minister Carál Ní Chuilín unveiled the fantastic works of art in the parliament building’s Great Hall.

The school has also signed up to the ‘buddy system’ which has paired it with one of the teams competing so that they can cheer them on.

The minister said: “It’s so nice to see the walls brightened up with all the children and young people’s posters.

“This unique opportunity gives the children a chance to connect with the games and cheer on their teams.

John Tully, from the WPFG also congratulated all those that took part. The exhibition is open to the public until August 10.
