Mazetown Cultural Society, which runs activities, events and programmes for people in the Lisburn area, has been awarded a grant of £10,000 to install a new kitchen in its community hall.

The new kitchen will make it easier for the group to provide catering for a wider range of events and will make the venue more comfortable for the local members who use it.

The Resurgam Community Development Trust Ltd, which is made up of 23 community groups and six social enterprises, is receiving a grant of £9,000 to develop its strategy and its marketing plans. The trust, which aims to improve the confidence and skills of local people, will also use the funding to create a new website.
