Art exhibitionwill support Spanish kids

An Art Exhibition and Sale will be held in Coleraine Town Hall this Friday in aid of Encounter Torrevieja - a Christian ministry for ex-pats living in Spain.

The exhibition is being hosted by Steve Campbell, an ordained clergyman, who along with his wife Irene-Maria has been working part-time with churches in Torrevieja, Costa Blanca, over the past ten years.

The couple say they seek to share the love of God with individuals and families, especially those who have fallen on hard times, through friendship, hospitality and practical help under the banner of Encounter Torrevieja.

One organisation which the couple support is ‘Reach Out’: based in the centre of Torrevieja. They help the most needy – those who live on the streets or who cannot afford to feed their family – by providing a clothes and food bank, offering breakfast and lunch each day, as well as giving help with doctor’s appointments and other necessities.

Steve and Irene-Maria have also run a very successful summer Holiday Bible Club for children called MAGNETS. In the last ten years over 200 children have come to MAGNETS with many returning year after year.

Steve, an amateur artist, has painted a picture of the Diamondin Coleraine showing the Town Hall has produced limited edition prints of the painting for sale.

This, along with other paintings and various crafts, will be on display in Coleraine Town Hall on Friday, May 2 from 12-4pm .
For further information on the sale or to order a limited edition print please contact Steve by email on [email protected].
