Charity concert

COLERAINE rock ‘n’ roll band Happy Shrapnel have organised another fantastic musical fundraiser night in aid of MacMillan Cancer Care.

Along with a huge line-up of their musical friends, they will hold their third annual charity fundraiser this Friday, March 30, in the Playhouse in Portrush.

The evening begins at 7.30pm and the line-up is impressive with something for everyone’s musical tastes.

There will be a total of 12 acts on two different stages comprising rock and rolls bands, acoustic acts, solo performers and a disco.

Along with Happy Shrapnel, the bands include The Red Velvetines, Shine May Sun, The Hallion’s Cabaret, Becky and Jack, Sings and Strings, The Long and the Short of It and Chris and Scott.

Solo performers include The Classical World of Rob Campbell and singer-songwriters Nigel Elliott and Richard Brown.

The evening will be hosted by Q Radio’s very own DJ Ricky K (PICTURED RIGHT) and will include the usual raffle, finger food (courtesy of The Playhouse) and an auction for a very special star prize!

With over £1,000 worth of prizes, tickets are £7.50 and are available from the Playhouse on the evening or via Happy Shrapnel on Facebook at www.facebook.com/happyshrapnel
